Who is this for?
License applicants in Minnesota who are serious about launching a successful and compliant business quickly. I’ve designed this to be both cheaper and faster for you than the 1:1 attorney model where I started.
No MSOs and no assholes.
If I join the accelerator, will I need to hire a lawyer too?
Yes. As you launch a business, many different legal needs will arise, including negotiating agreements and maintaining compliance. By being part of the accelerator, however, you have access to my up-to-date regulatory and compliance advice about the Minnesota cannabis industry, and my advice on what kind of attorney or other service provider might solve a problem.
Do I HAVE to collaborate with other licensees?
No. I believe some people will use this only to listen to my weekly updates (they’ll be recorded) or maybe drop by on a Tuesday to ask a question in the all-member forum.
Members are able to buy 1:1, confidential time with me at discounted rates, too. If you use it that way, you basically have me on retainer, paying over time.
Others might just be members for the discounts and referrals to service providers. That will soon be worth the monthly subscription price right there.
That said, I’m excited about the chance for collaboration. I believe that a group like this will allow people to make valuable business connections with one another and support one another as we move into this new phase.
For example, the person who has flower first will be able to find the person who is open for retail first, etc. We need each other and we win together.
How long does this last?
Until you launch or leave the group.
Once you launch, your needs will change, and I’m already dreaming about an offering for that.
You can also leave if you don’t love it. No long-term contracts or big promises. I only ask for a 4-week minimum commitment (and if you leave, you can’t rejoin for 3 months.)

Love it or leave it. The Accelerator is a community of willing and enthusiastic participants. I’m not interested in contracts and/or chasing people for money. If you don’t love it, you’re welcome to leave at any time.
That said, I'm making that subject to a four-week minimum and you can't rejoin for 3 months. I don't want people just hopping in every week they have a question. That's not fair to anybody.
Much depends on you. This is not a full-service program where I do everything for you. Sorry, that would cost a lot more. I'm looking for those people who plan to work hard on their businesses and need expert direction to make sure they are going the right way.
Also important: running a successful business means putting in place a strong team of advisors and employees.My value proposition? I'll help you get there, by being someone who helps you identify that team and the steps to stand up a profitable business with 15 employees.
I'm wrong sometimes. So are you, I bet.
All I can promise is my commercially reasonable efforts to serve the members of this program. I can't guarantee you a license. I can't even guarantee that everything I say will be correct, or the best advice possible for your situation.
What I can promise? To walk through this crazy industry with you, week by week.
Change is likely. I already told you that the price is going to increase each month. That's partly because I think the Accelerator may be of enormous value.I'm going to be looking for ways to make the Accelerator and its Members successful. Is it discounts or intelligence on certain issues? Investor-facing advantages? Press opportunities?
And we will be actively exploring what the members need and find value in.
